Hygieniform
A new, innovative, anti-microbial
facing option exclusively from Leaderflush Shapland
Combating Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) is
now regarded as the most important performance requirement
for healthcare environments. Leaderflush Shapland is
committed to developing innovative products specifically
for this sector and has introduced Hygieniform, a
revolutionary, high impact, chemical resistant PVC facing
option which helps control infections.
Hygieniform incorporates Hygienilac®, a biocidally
proactive additive which kills bacteria and other microbes
by preventing their access to nutrients. It does not employ
silver technology, rendering it completely UV stable and
remains effective for years because of its inherently low
water solubility. It has passed British Standard 6250 tests
for severe usage and its active ingredient has approvals
from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health and
Safety Executive (HSE) and the Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA).
Hygieniform forms part of Leaderflush Shapland's Plasform
range and can also be specified for use on protection
plates, edge protectors and as a facing option for flat
faced lipped doors.

Hygieniform incorporates the Hygienilac®
anti-microbial additive through the complete 2mm thickness
of the PVC so that even if the surface is scratched, it will
still provide protection against harmful bacteria such as
C.diff, E.coli, Salmonella, Listeria and MRSA, as well as
being suitable for 'Severe Duty' applications.

Other Hygienilac® Products
All Leaderflush Shapland veneered doorsets incorporate
Hygienilac® as standard. As an additional option,
Leaderflush Shapland can also supply a range of
architectural hardware which incorporates the Hygienilac®
additive into either a clear or coloured powder coat, giving
specifiers the opportunity to specify a complete
anti-microbial doorset solution.
